noticed too late that the disk used by a very slow recursive wget was nearly full, quickly paused wget in lldb so i'd have time to make more space.. it resumed cleanly, saving me several days of re-downloading. super dumb, but a thrilling experience. lol

@a oh I've pulled some SIGSTOP magic like that before. Had 5 concurrent compression jobs running, each taking some 100 GB input file and producing a maybe 25 GB output file, then deleting the input file. Only I did not have 125 GB of free space while all the jobs were still running. 😅

@siguza ohh lol, it didn't even cross my mind to just kill -STOP/-CONT instead of lldb but ofc that would've worked!
