i didn't enjoy this at all. it probably won't work for very long (because i did a bad job).
in my defense, i don't have a microscope, and im also not any good at soldering
when i got this (from a child on facebook marketplace) it had the classic "stage light" effect when nearly closed, and the backlight cut out entirely at around 30° open. this page and linked videos were helpful:

the camera cable also has a sharp crease but it still works, for now.
it's exciting to see "flexgate" up close at last! this happens on almost all mac laptops to this day, btw 😓

i wiggled the screen a lot to see if it would stop working and it stopped working. what is my problem
i mean, would've presumably happened within a few weeks of regular opening and shutting too, but still. what if it wouldn't have 🫣
