Ordered the absolute base model Neo for curiosity’s sake. I want to know what Apple thinks is the minimum viable Mac experience. I can see this thing getting marked down to $399 and $499, it’s gonna do gang busters, but those users are not gonna know about memory or any of the limitations.

long-term im nervous this'll get disappointingly short macos support due to the 8 gb, but i doubt it will *feel* slow since the m1 still (usually) doesn't. maybe they'll put a19 pro with 12 gb next year.
